My wonderful Australian Kelpie. Kelpies are very intelligent dogs, and make great pets for people who have a lot of energy, will take the time to allow them to get enough exercise, and want a dog that needs almost constant attention and love - a true companion. They are common working dogs in Australia on sheep farms, and have special feet that allow them to grip more than other dogs (she can even hold on to shoulders when picked up, though not for long), and so can walk on the tops of sheep in busy corrals if they need to get through a sheep packed area. Photgraphy notes: |
I had been trying to get a good photo of Pali for about an hour before this picture. She had been very excited and always loves to play, especially whenever I crouch down to her level... which is the only way to get a photograph from the perspective of a dog. After being rushed, licked and nuzzled for an hour, she became bored of the whole game and lay down in basic frustration. This provided the perfect opportunity to finally get my picture! She is looking at my roommate, possibly in hopes of some sort of reprieve from the camera game, but making the photograph all that much more full of character. Light readings for dark dogs are very difficult to get correct. Using a general setting, instead of a spot reading can be helpful for stopping the standard over-exposure of pictures of dark dogs. |
