The first bridge passes over the Rio La Junta, 10 minutes further on a second bridge crosses the Rio Sin Nombre. They should be crossed one hiker at a time.
After the bridges, the path starts to climb and descend fairly steeply, passing just feet above the river at points. The first three climbs are steep but fairly short, the fourth has a few false starts of 10 metre climbs and falls or so before starting in earnest. The fifth is the big one of this section, it is steep covered in unstable mud before finally heading up a long clear cow path. Several times it seems to have peaked before setting of again. At the top is a farm (complete with advertising sign in four languages - Spanish, English, German and Isreali) that sells food and rents transport.
