d. Walking the Rio Manso meadows and flats

In contrast to the start of the road, with its climbs and falls, the north side of the Rio Manso is wonderfully flat. The path meanders past farms with their Lombardy Poplar wind blocks and through meadows and woodland. The effect of land clearance is dramatic and this is some of the easiest walking on the route by a long way. Enjoy it while you can!
